While the Captain Cook Highway remains closed between Cairns and Port Douglas our fabulous industry has stepped up and are offering visitors 2 different ways to get into Port Douglas either by water or road (via Mareeba) - see below the current information we have.
While the Great Barrier Reef Drive is on a scenic detour, the “water taxi” ferry service between Cairns and Port Douglas is your ticket to a once-in-a-lifetime view of the Great Barrier Reef and Tropical North Queensland coastline
Quicksilver will be providing a short-term ferry transfer service between Port Douglas and Cairns. Departure from Port Douglas will be at 8:00am and a 2:30pm departure from Cairns back to Port.
Cost is $50 per person one way, children under 3 years travel free.

Reef Unlimited will be operating ferry services from Cairns to Port Douglas return, on an ongoing basis until further notice. Their ferry service operates everyday with some days offering 2 departure times, please refer to their booking page for these additional times

Port Douglas Crystalbrook Marina: 1.30pm (arrive 45 mins prior)
