Tourism Port Douglas Daintree works with passionate locals to greet cruise ship passengers as they arrive at the Port Douglas Marina.
We are looking for passionate locals to share their love for our beautiful region and become a part of cruise ship passengers’ Port Douglas experience by welcoming them with a smile and your insider’s knowledge into what they can do in their short time in Port Douglas.
Volunteers would be required to assist for 3 hours on a cruise ship day. We would like to have four volunteers present for each visit and have a roster in place so everyone can share the load. Volunteers will be provided with information, maps and visitor guides.
For more information please contact Mikala McDowall at Tourism Port Douglas Daintree on 4099 4588 or info@visitportdouglasdaintree.com.
Tourism Port Douglas Daintree acknowledges the custodianship of the Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef by the local Kuku Yalanji and Yirraganydji people whose rich cultures, heritage values, enduring connections and shared efforts protect our natural assets for future generations, and we pay our respect to elders past, present and emerging.
