It aims to provide the framework and collaboration required to attract new and grow existing events that will create a long-term, distinctive competitive advantage for the Port Douglas Daintree region. Attracting and growing iconic events that are distinctly Port Douglas Daintree will increase overnight visitor expenditure to the Douglas Shire that will generate economic, community, cultural and environmental outcomes.
Long-term, iconic events will continue to build the brand of Port Douglas Daintree and influence new investment and potential new residents to the region.
