BE DOUGLAS is about providing a high quality, accurate and consistent information hub for tourism and hospitality staff to provide visitors and customers a positive experience while here.
This training program aims to highlight how to anticipate, meet, and exceed the needs of guest expectations, leaving them feeling positive that the Douglas region is an extraordinary place to visit and return to.
BE DOUGLAS consists of 6 modules incorporating various lessons that need to be completed in order. The lessons cover history, visitor information, customer service and safety, drawn from decades answering travellers most frequently asked questions. Please allow approximately 10 to 15 minutes for each module (60 to 80 minutes to complete the entire program). At the end of each module, you are required to answer questions correctly, with an 80% pass rate to complete the BE DOUGLAS training program.
BE DOUGLAS is proudly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) with support from Douglas Shire Council and the Douglas Chamber of Commerce.
